I saw a lovely hack the other day about a woman taking a pillow on her journey , when she got to the hotel room the woman emptied the pillow ( it had no cushion ) but contained items of clothing - how clever

Is that instead of a suitcase?!

As well as. But how clever!

Ah! So she wrapped her clothes in the pillow case and used it as a head rest during her journey? That is clever

Liked the necklace hack - not seen that one before. Have some metal straws somewhere that might work. And Rosie made a thing brilliant as always. Thanks.

Metal straws? What a good idea! Do they affect the taste of what you’re drinking at all?

Thanks so much for commenting!

Look forward to your email every week, I read it, try to remember to comment and then get distracted and forget!

However we are in beautiful Cornwall on holiday so no excuses! Currently looking across the bay to Godrevy lighthouse from the balcony and it’s not rained all week here, can you believe it! Looking forward to seeing the grandkids next week on our return.

Oh I’m SO jealous! Cornwall is my favourite place in the world. And even more so when it’s not raining! My oldest friend lives on Bodmin Moor and I took my girls to Cornwall every summer when they were growing up. SO many wonderful times and memories. Went two years ago with my girls and their girls. It was magical. Enjoy the rest of your stay

Thank goodness I'm not the only fan of Bridgerton - I know it's chewing gum for

eyes but it's just pottily wonderfully cheering uppery. As for the dog - awwwwwww.

I shall exist on a diet of Clarkson's Farm and Bridgerton whilst the ongoing mad political scenario

drones on to its ultimate conclusion.

Potty and wonderful is the perfect description of Bridgerton! And could agree with you more about both programmes being perfect escapist TV. Tho Clarkson’s Farm does make me want to see which party, if any, has any policies to make the ridiculously difficult business of farming any easier

Haha - I wouldn’t dream of watching it with my lovely fella. He’d be far too scathing!

So happy you still enjoy WW 😁

I love Bridgerton and the escapism that it provides. The costumes, the gossip, their stately homes and the social politics of it all. Oh my ...

I know!! Am loving how fabulously absurd Cressida’s outfits are getting. I heard Jessica Masden, the actress who plays her, being interviewed and she said doorways were a real problem, she kept having to come into rooms sideways!

I too love a good chat! I look forward to your Friday emails/blogs. The places you escape to sound and look idyllic and the way you describe it all, I feel as though I’m there too. I love being part of They Heyday group.

Hello, hello. Funnily enough I so wanted to show you and bring your attention to a National Trust property Chasleton House(near Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh area). Maybe you have been there 😁

It's a true delight but I was so pleased to see their exhibit included a Womans Weekly from 1958 hahaha 😆 I was seven then and most probably read the copy which my Mum had. I will pop a pic on to the Heydays site.

Toodle Pip 🙋‍♀️ 💞 xx

Oh please do! I’d love to see it. My late husband gave me some old copies he’d hunted down as a birthday present one year. I still treasure them.

Don’t know Charleston House, but will definitely put it on my to-visit list. Thanks for the recommendation x
